| Went to Distant Worlds last night with Chris and Kelsey. Easy enough drive, milled around the lobby for a little while just kinda checking stuff out and eating. Nothing too special but enjoyable. Heard music I knew I recognized, but remixed. Couple seconds later it hit me that it was Oil Ocean's theme from Sonic 2. I'm not sure why I'm proud of that. Then the concert itself started which was all sorts of amazing. Turns out the seats I grabbed were actually pretty great, at least I think so. Third floor, off to stage right but we had pretty much a dead-on view of everything other than the vocalists on the side. Even they weren't that hard to see though so it wound up being pretty much perfect. Yay me ^.^ Beautiful music with videos from the different games playing in the background. Completely worth the trip. The orchestra was perfect, the vocalists were great and the soloists were...indescribable. The one, this plump little Asian woman with a huge and powerful voice, would have been worth the trip on her own. She was just that amazing. They did the opera from VI beautifully and she, along with the two guys, just blew me away. The conductor (tried to) fake(d) the crowd out by finishing all the songs and walking off, none of them being One Winged Angel. Ok, so we're all fanboys/girls: You can't do that and we know it. Especially when we (or at least the three of us) could hear them practicing OWA as people trickled in. The only negative I have is that the videos made it so I didn't want to close my eyes and just listen like I usually do with this sort of thing. So they were beautiful to watch, but kind of distracting too. Balanced out at least. Took us forever to find our way back out of Baltimore, and through some relatively unpleasant parts of Baltimore, but hopped on 95 eventually and got back here around 12:30. Wound up going to the West Chester Diner to munch and gab before calling it a night...at about 3. So yea, crappy entry that doesn't do the night justice. Definitely keeping my eyes open for tickets next time the tour comes through.
Oh, and did I mention that we got a sneak preview of Final Fantasy XIV? Cuz that happened and was kind of awesome.

| So yea...lame month really aside from a few ups here and again. Turned 21 which wasn't much of a thing really. Fun party with a lot of great people though. Yay for a fuckton of food. Aside from that, class is going well so far. Work's been great. There aren't words for how much I <3 being Jackie's minion. Been helping mom and dad a fair amount. Finally opened a bank account, so yay? Then proceeded to tank 100$ on Amazon on three hardback comics, a paperback trade, and Dollhouse SEASON 1 (You know, as in not "the complete series" because it got renewed? So fuck yes!) Dad took me to Pride today (Why yes, my parents ARE cooler than yours). Decent and fun day really, though zero with the flirtation. Hung with Mel, Dave, Sofie and, later, Maxx. Mel and I got our faces painted cuz we're awesome (read as: five) like that ^.^ I was all spiffy! Pretty much just wandered around with Maxx for the most part which was nice given the whole never seeing him thing. Meanwhile between Pride, facebook, and Nocturne I've come to realize something: There are three classes of people who will flirt openly with me, hit on me, or otherwise call me sexy/pretty/etc- 1)Taken gay men, 2)Lesbians, and, the most common and bizarre 3)HETERO men. Someone want to explain that one? So that's basically been the month. Not a whole lot else to update on as far as I can tell. Only thing I can think of is more just mental stuff. Friday was the one year mark since Ryan. For a long time I thought it would be a weird, or otherwise unpleasant day but it wasn't. What was weird was that it was a normal day. Didn't think anything of it really. I'm not complaining, and honestly I'm kind of happy for it. It's over with finally, beyond the occasional thought here and there. Also, I have a test tomorrow morning that I should cram for....naaaaaaaaaaaah <-oh with the bad idea.

| I guess I should update or something. Haven't really done a whole ton since last time though. Equality Forum was a bust. Holly and I went, despite the rain, and sat and suffered for it mostly. Shannon came down the next day (or the day after. Pretty sure it was Monday though) so we BSed most of the day which is always cool. I love having friends who I can do that with. So that made up for the Equality Forum sucking at least. Got my grades: Three A's, two A-'s, and a B+. The lattermost was lesbian studies. Go figure right? Seems like there's a bad joke there. Anyway, 3.77 for the semester. 3.5something cumulative so I'm not complaining. Met with Jackie that Thursday to plot out what I should do in her absence. Came home and mom gave me Angel season 5 which has kept me relatively occupied. Started working this week. Only getting 20 hours a week bites but what am I gonna do about it? Well, actually, I sent an email out and I might actually get a few more later. Guess we'll see. Anyway, went up to Shannon's yesterday finally and killed the day. Wandered around the city for a little while, grabbed pizza and wandered. Went out looking for a park but the first attempt at that failed. So he picked a different place and off we went. Nice drive. He ended up taking me in the woods to do the cliche 'kill him and hide the body' thing but, come on, it's me!....which I'm realizing doesn't actually get rid of that problem. Ok, so he didn't actually try to kill me. Fine. Happy now? Anyway, meandered through the woods which was spiffy. I pretty much watched him geek out which is always fun. What can I say, I like seeing my friends get that passionate excited sort of energy rolling. Went back to his place where he showed off slaughtering demons...well cept the one that thoroughly kicked his ass but we needn't rub that in, right? Which is not to say we won't. Went over to Rachel's (creperie... wow, I spelled that correctly apparently. I'm kinda shocked. Guess French wasn't a total waste after all) which was...damn. Cheeseburger crepe. It was one of the best things I've had in my mouth in a long, LONG time. Also split a desert crepe (ice cream and nutella and probably something I forgot). It's sugar. Need I say more? Yummy. Insert more meandering and the associated fun here. (Can we tell my use for Xanga has diminished greatly over the years? Pretty much just for the memory stuff). Hung around, listened to music, checked out various furniture (there's a joke there somewhere I'm sure). Booted me out around 11:30 *shakes fist* so I came back this way and proceeded to pass out. Got up, got to work, and zombied my way through finishing a rough draft of a billboard I'm making. So yea. Work's been meh since I'm basically the only person upstairs in Sykes (define 'alone' for me) but yesterday was a blast. Nothing quite as nice as good company and good food right? *insert obligatory "Nice to actually see Shannon twice with a gap less than a month. Certainly an improvement" line here* And now I have a three day weekend. Part of which will involve helping dad with a show up past Exton. Huzzah? I need a nap or something. I'm still all zombied out from yesterday/waking up to that damn alarm.
tl;dr Equality forum: rained out. Hanging with Shannon: woo. Grades: Also a woo. Work: less woo, but at least it's money. Meandering around Lancaster/the woods with Shan: again, woo (notably from not getting eaten by said woods) Food: Yay! Zombie status: STAY AWAY FROM ME WITH THAT WHITE MAGIC! *hide*

| Ok, so freakishly long weekend...like wow long and ow and x.x and ^.^ type weekend. So, Day of Silence: Got up to the office around 12:30. Hung for a bit with Lauren, Jason, Dan and, yay, Nikki <3. Lauren and I caught up with Jackie to go get the pretzels and water ice for the rally. Jackie also got Lauren and I each a gelati. I'll be blunt, it's officially summer for me now that I've had that. It made me far too relaxed and happy (Rita's fanboy ^.^). Went back over to Sykes and set up everything, saw the crowd march over with Nikki leading them in chanting and Hannah spinning around with a rainbow flag-cape. So we milled around enjoying the icey goodness. Went up to the office where Hannah and I practiced our bit for the drag show. Nikki and Lauren went back to Andrew's (Lauren's old) apartment (Notably Andrew not being there). Hannah eventually slipped out and I got a call from Andrew asking where Lauren was. Told him she and Nikki where at his place and he said he wasn't going home then and asked if I'm in the office. Few minutes later he scared the piss out of me when he came in dead silent while I was playing a game. Hung there for a bit til he decided to go to his place and asked if I wanted to come with so he wouldn't be facing the lesbians alone. The five of us (the three of them, me, and Andrew's new roomie) pretty much just hung around mocking Paula Deen, watching the simpsons and eventually grabbing dinner. Finally decided we ought to head back down to help set up for the show...which was basically done already. I went up and got changed. Came down in my pretty borderline lingerie and tights. Met up with mom, dad and Holly. Chatted for a bit and mostly milled around. Put my name in with Hannah for the drag competition and signed up for a song as well. Got up and sang "Smooth" (Santana w/Rob Thomas) and had a blast with it. Apparently did pretty darn well with it too so yay ^.^. Like I said, mostly just milled around and watched everyone else perform. Drag show kicked in around 9:30 and Nikki MCed it. She wanted to get someone in the audience to go upstairs and be made over...I got my dad to do it. How fucking epic is that? The only neg is that he was taken up right before Hannah and I went on. Wish I'd realized that cuz it kinda stinks he didn't get to see us. Anyway, we did Xander and Anya's "I'll Never Tell" and, to be honest, we fucking nailed it. When we finished the crowd kind of exploded which was awesome. And even better, I didn't fuck up the part I always fucked up while practicing. So yea, awesome night as far as performances. Rebekah was awesome I thought, as was David. Dad came back and the crowd went nuts as I led him in to "I'm Too Sexy" (Blame Hilary for that one apparently). David won first and Dan took second in the drag. Personaly, I'm pissed about that. David, sure, I get. He was great and it was a given he'd win but Dan? Sorry, no. Yea, he looked classic drag but his performance...wasn't a performance. It was karaoke. Big fucking deal. David should've won first, and either Hannah/Me or Rebekah/Teilah should've taken second and that's the bloody truth. Anyway, despite that bullshit, the night was a fucking blast and that's what counts.Listened to a few more karaoke performances including Lucy who, as always, was epic. Seriously, I even turned to my parents and Holly saying how everytime she opens her mouth to sing it always shocks the shit out of me how great she is. After she performed I went up to the office and changed back to street clothes. Ran into Lucy on my way down and we walked in right as they announced her for first place in the karaoke which was a yay. I actually forget who took second. I think Dave and someone tied. Mom, Dad, Lauren, Holly, and Maeve left a couple minutes after that and I flopped down on a couch next to Mike. Chatted with him a little, which I've wanted to do for a while now so that was nice. Realized we were starting to clean up so I played the 'got a facebook' line and he asked my last name so we could track each other down. Spiffy. Most of the rest of the night was just more judge-less karaoke and cleaning up. Got up to sing Bitch, mentioned I didn't recall it too well so Virignia popped up with me with Kait and Sofie doing back-up which was fun. We got out of there, after clean up and such, around midnight. Came home and pretty much crashed. Relay: Got up, showered, ate, gathered some work and shit and out the door I went. Hung with the group discussing what in the hell the game plan was and proceeded to walk the track mostly. Nothing terribly eventful really. Ended up walking most of it with either Teilah, Jason or, especially, Maria. Had fun for the most part and walked a fuckton to the point where I can barely move today I'm so damn sore. Grand total: 20 miles. Ow. Just ow. Around 4:30 was a karaoke thing for each team. So we'd signed up way earlier...and they snubbed us. Pulled the "and now we're out of time" bullshit rather than giving us our shot. For the Mr. and Mrs. Relay thing, which was done in drag, Dave and Virignia didn't even place which made zero sense. Instead this pair of total shitheads took second. I hate to say it, but I really do suspect something fishy in the way of a bias against us. So after the whole karaoke fiasco we went back and pretty much packed up and stormed out. It was bullshit. Meanwhile we busted the tent trying to deconstruct it which only made the night SO much better -.- Hello dumpster gift. Got back to the car, wincing the whole way from the sore and the ow and the god damn twenty miles was a terrible fucking idea. Came home, tried to stay up and said fuck it. Inched my way upstairs, curled up and went coma which felt amazing. Now I'm still all kinds of sore but at least I don't have to walk around any more. God please make this at least a bit better before tomorrow x.x So yea, fuckin great weekend till around 5am today. Then it went to shit real quick.

| First off, a few weeks ago I turned in a paper for Women Today. After turning it in I realized I'd missed a big chunk we had to do on it. So that was a glorious "Oh shit!" moment. Got it back last night: A. Hell yes! Today however was fantastic. Midterm was meh but so be it. Speak out was interesting. Professor had everyone write down questions and shuffle them. Got some really candid ones which made me laugh and applaud the girls who had the guts to write them. "Did you lose your virginity to a guy or girl?" "Do you ever hook up with straight guys?" "Ever had a threesome?" amongst others. Office hours with Kait. Always <3s. Con Law was tiring. Got our midterms back at the end though. Got mine first (alphabetical). Flipped to the grade: My jaw dropped and eyes bugged out. So blatantly in fact that Shawn said something along the lines of "shock yourself?". The more I read, the more my eyes bugged until I realized, and said over to Shawn "Huh, guess I should hide the shock a little better huh?". Understand that I thought I was gonna get my ass kicked: A. Not just an A but an A with a lot of compliments and such in it. "Excellent work. This is clearly written, argued in a blanced way, and internally consistent throughout. You do a great job of writing directly while being fair in the position you take. Also, it is quite well proofread (Ok, that's just humorous ain't it?). Great work all the way around". FUCK YES! Came back to the office and hung with Kait, Dan and Jason. We have no idea where they're from but we had four of these little foam rocket things. Like, with a rubber band you put around your finger, pull back and fire the little bastards off....So of course Kait, Dan and I took to shooting one another with them for a solid hour. Ducking, twitching, shouting, and laughing our asses off. Kait dove behind the desk. Dan fell off the chair. We all pegged each other in the head. Dan's never having children and Kait's having a foam baby...This is one of those situations where you look at it and think "Ok, this should NEVER have been as fun as it was but holy shit it was a blast!". So that, combined with the midterm and the nice weather made the day fucking epic. Makes up for the sucktastic weekend so yay! I gotta find me some more of those rockets *plotting*
